Native Multi-Protocol Support
NFA natively supports NetFlow v5 and v9, IPFIX, sFlow, Juniper J-Flow, and Huawei NetStream, the full range of flow export standards.
The analyzer’s distinct advantage is its optional BGP integration. By establishing a BGP session with your routers, NFA correlates every flow record with full BGP routing table data, giving you AS_PATH-level visibility across your traffic. This enables analysis that goes well beyond bandwidth dashboards: peering utilization, transit cost attribution by AS, and routing optimization. WhatsUp Gold NTA does not offer BGP correlation natively.
NFA has been validated with Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, Arista, MikroTik, Brocade, Alcatel, Vyatta, and ZTE equipment. Any device exporting standard flows is supported.
