NEW Graph & Report: Performance Improvements per Top ASN
The newly introduced report/graph includes metrics such as averaged loss and latency per ASN(s) before and after improvements within the selected time frame. Results are sorted in descending order by ASN traffic volume, allowing you to quickly identify and focus on the most impactful ASNs. This feature aids in evaluating the efficiency of performance improvements, providing a clear view of IRP’s network optimization efforts and their tangible outcomes.
IRP REST API Documentation
IRP REST API documentation is now accessible within the GMI UI under Support > API Documentation, facilitating easier integration and utilization of API functionalities. This streamlines the process for developers and network engineers to leverage IRP capabilities programmatically.
Improved User Experience and Reporting
The user interface and reporting capabilities have been significantly enhanced. The “Probes Today” and “Moderated Inbound Improvements” reports have been redesigned to better handle numerous providers. A percentile filter has been introduced to the “AS Statistics” report for more detailed data analysis. Some reports have also been renamed for clarity: “Improved Traffic” is now “Improved Outbound Traffic,” and “Total Traffic” is now “Total Outbound Traffic.” A new text-based section menu, switchable in the user’s profile, has been added to improve navigation.
Performance/Memory Optimizations and New OS Support
This release includes major improvements in memory usage and overall performance. These enhancements ensure a smoother and more efficient operation, reducing the risk of resource bottlenecks and improving the platform’s responsiveness, which is crucial for maintaining high performance in demanding network environments. Additionally, IRP now supports both Ubuntu 24 Noble Numbat and Rocky Linux 9, expanding the range of compatible deployment environments.
Other Notable Enhancements
- An option to view detailed information about instance licenses has been added to the instances management section.
- The capability to generate Policy-Based Routing (PBR) for Internet Exchanges (IXes) has also been included, further enhancing routing flexibility.
- The SNMP interface specification when adding providers has been significantly improved, now including the index, name, description, or alias options.
