Hi ,

Big day today! We are releasing the new IRP Lite v 3.11.1
Most of the features first introduced in the regular IRP 3.11 are now available in this free Intelligent Routing Platform version.

Remote-triggered Blackholing

Remote-triggered Blackholing feature allows the redirection of traffic to a non-existent resource (a black hole), or the blocking of the unwanted traffic in a provider’s network, preventing such traffic from entering the user’s network.

The RTBH feature can be specifically used to better understand and mitigate the effects of the Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks. Its visual representation is available via the Global Management Interface and consists of the Monitoring and Rules sections. The Monitoring tab offers a 30-minute router(s) traffic graph view, as per specific IRP Lite instance, providing the total Bytes and Packets statistics along with the filter down capability on packet types, including Syn, Fin, UDP, ICMP. The Rules section allows specifying a prefix to be blackholed.

ClickHouse Database

The introduction of the ClickHouse open-source OLAP database management system in IRP Lite 3.11.1 significantly reduces disk space used, allows the platform to look at more granular data, and ensures queries are performed quickly.

Support for Ubuntu 20.04 Focal Fossa

You can now install IRP Lite 3.11.1 on servers running the enterprise-grade Ubuntu 20.04 Long Term Support version. Meanwhile, Ubuntu 18.04 will continue to receive security updates and bug fixes until 2023.

IRP Lite 3.11.1, available at no cost, is a great fit for budget-conscious organizations willing to start taking advantage of automated internet route optimization. The regular Intelligent Routing Platform, however, is always available for those with more complex needs or wider interests.
